Session 1: 3-Week Camp | June 15 – July 3 | 9 AM – 2 PM
Your young Time Hero leaps through legendary eras to repair thrilling time glitches—building the key skills that make 1st grade smooth, fun, and successful. This session focuses on stronger fine motor control for neat handwriting, teamwork for making friends, creative problem-solving, math confidence through patterns and counting, and emotional regulation. Each week, we solve many challenges through joyful, hands-on S.T.E.A.M. missions packed with giggles, "aha!" moments, and proud "I can do this!" energy.
The Time-Travel Mission: Repair History's Glitches... Get Super-Ready for 1st Grade Success!
Week 1: Ancient Egypt Pyramid Panic!
The pharaoh's pyramid is collapsing—stabilize the timeline! Each day, we solve many challenges as heroes explore balance, shapes, and gravity through hands-on Science tests. The Engineering mission involves building tall, stable pyramids with blocks and recyclables to test against shakes and loads. In Art, students create and label hieroglyph stories and colorful designs, practicing letter formation and simple writing. The Math boost includes measuring heights and sorting by shape. Result: Sharper fine motor for writing, early logic, and the focus needed for multi-step building.
Week 2: Leap to Ancient Greece – Olympic Games Fading Fast!
The legendary games are vanishing—bring them back! We solve heroic challenges as we investigate motion and force through playful sports throws and rolls during Science. During Engineering, young architects construct marble-inspired temples or sturdy columns with blocks and spatial thinking to test with "statues" while sharing ideas. Art focus shifts to creating beautiful classical drawings, geometric patterns, and colorful Olympic symbols. The Math boost helps students count medals and compare distances of their tosses. Result: Better hand-eye coordination, teamwork skills, and the logic to stay calm when a temple tower wobbles.
Week 3: Medieval Castle Siege Solution!
The castle is under attack—fortify and defend! Our team will solve many challenges in Science as we experiment with levers and projectile motion through safe launches. The Engineering goal is to design castles or drawbridges with working mechanisms that students adjust based on tests. For Art, heroes craft detailed shields, banners, and armor with unique symbols. The Math boost includes counting launches and simple graphing of distances. Result: Enhanced creativity, following multi-step directions, and managing excitement while achieving joyful group triumphs.
