S.T.E.A.M. into School: Kinder Readiness - Session 2
S.T.E.A.M. into School: Kindergarten Readiness Session 2:
4-Week Camp | July 6 – July 31 | 9 AM – 2 PM
The time-travel mission continues! Our youngest explorers leap into four more eras to fix the timeline and build essential Kindergarten skills through joyful, hands-on STEAM fun. Each week highlights Science, Engineering, and Art to spark curiosity and school readiness.
The Time-Travel Mission: Finish Saving History, Get Super School-Ready!
Week 4: Dive into the Renaissance – Da Vinci’s Flying Machines Mystery!
History’s genius sketches are lost—time to invent! Science: Explore lift, motion, and simple flight ideas through playful tests. Engineering: Build and test mini flying machines or models with paper, sticks, and imagination. Art: Sketch and decorate Da Vinci-inspired designs, boosting fine motor skills and early literacy through drawing and labeling. Perfect for creative thinking and hand strength!
Week 5: Rocket to the Industrial Revolution – Great Engine Meltdown!
Progress has stalled—the big engine needs a restart! Science: Discover how gears, wheels, and energy make things move (basic mechanics). Engineering: Experiment with connecting gears, building spinning contraptions, and fixing “machines.” Art: Create steampunk-style mechanical drawings or decorate gear art pieces. Great for math counting, problem-solving, and teamwork!
Week 6: Saddle Up to the Wild West – Frontier Chaos Ahead!
The frontier is wild and wobbly—settle it safely! Science: Learn about balance, stability, and materials through building tests. Engineering: Design and construct sturdy wagons, structures, or pioneer shelters with blocks and simple connectors. Art: Craft pioneer folk art like patterned blankets, signs, or cowboy decorations. Boosts collaboration, spatial awareness, and fine motor fun!
Week 7: Blast Off to the Space Age – Cosmic Future at Risk!
The stars are drifting—secure the final frontier! Science: Investigate force, trajectory, and gravity with launch experiments. Engineering: Build and launch rockets or design moon base models that stand strong. Art: Paint cosmic scenes, starry backdrops, or astronaut gear creations. Strengthens hand-eye coordination, predictive thinking, and big imagination!
Innovate, play, and prepare! Turn curious little time travelers into confident, school-ready kindergarten stars through the magic of STEAM adventures.
