Embark on an extraordinary journey to the icy continent of Antarctica at our Antarctic Expedition Summer Camp, specially designed for inquisitive minds in grades 5-6! From 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, your young adventurers will delve into the unique wildlife, awe-inspiring landscapes, and critical scientific research conducted in Antarctica through a series of engaging activities and themed days. Each week, we'll integrate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) into our daily themes for an enriching and well-rounded experience.
Daily Themes:
Discovering Antarctic Wildlife and Habitats (Science & Engineering): Uncover the incredible wildlife of Antarctica, study their specialized adaptations, and participate in engineering challenges focused on conservation and habitat preservation.
Exploring Antarctic Research and Innovations (Technology & Engineering): Investigate groundbreaking scientific research and technological advancements in Antarctica, engage in hands-on experiments, and develop coding projects inspired by these discoveries.
Understanding Climate Change and Antarctic Landscapes (Art & Geography): Create art projects that illustrate the effects of climate change on Antarctica's landscapes while learning about glaciers, icebergs, and the impact of human activities on the region.
Mapping Antarctic Geography and Landmarks (Geography & Math): Analyze the geography of Antarctica, study famous landmarks and natural wonders, and participate in data analysis activities using real-world geographical data.
