🌞🌴 South American Safari Summer Camp: Explorer Edition
Embark on an exhilarating adventure through the vibrant continent of South America at our South American Safari Summer Camp, tailored for curious minds in grades 3-4! From 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, your young explorers will uncover the fascinating cultures, wildlife, and landscapes of South America through a variety of engaging activities and themed days. Each week, we'll incorporate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) into our daily themes to promote a well-rounded learning experience.
Daily Themes:
Spectacular South American Wildlife (Science & Art): Investigate the diverse creatures of South America through interactive wildlife identification games and create scientific illustrations of native species.
Cultural Exploration of Ancient Civilizations (Art & Engineering): Discover the art, architecture, and engineering marvels of ancient South American civilizations, and design your own historically-inspired structures.
Discovering the Andes Mountains (Science & Math): Explore the majestic Andes Mountains through collaborative scavenger hunts and mountain range mapping activities, while practicing data analysis and graphing skills.
Sailing the Amazon River (Technology & Engineering): Dive into the world of the Amazon River and engage in creative writing exercises, while designing and testing model boats to learn about waterway engineering and ecosystems.
South American Carnival and Food Fiesta (Art & Math): Experience the vibrant culture of South America through carnival mask-making, music and dance, and cooking activities that challenge recipe measurement conversion skills.
Activities Include:
Wildlife research projects and habitat diorama creation
Ancient South American art and architecture exploration, along with engineering challenges inspired by historic structures
Scavenger hunts with famous South American landmarks and mountain range mapping
Creative writing inspired by the Amazon River and waterway engineering activities
Carnival mask-making, music and dance, and cooking with South American cuisine
